Snowshoeing
The Queenstown Backcountry Snowshoeing trip takes you into the Remarkables backcountry. This terrain is normally only visited by backcountry skiers and mountaineers in the winter season, but with the use of snow shoes you can easily travel across deep snow and through mountain terrain. From backcountry areas we visit you will have mind blowing views of the mountains of New Zealand’s Southern Alps. On a clear day it is possible to get views of Mt Aspiring, Mt Cook, and the Fiordland mountains.
Remarkables Tower Climb
The Remarkable’s Tower Climb takes you to the summit of the Remarkables Tower. From the summit you will have mind blowing views as you look 2000m down the west face of the Remarkables. On a clear day it is possible to get views of Mt Aspiring, Mt Cook, and the Fiordland mountains.
The Remarkable’s Tower Scramble is a great first mountaineering experience. This trip is easier than a full day of mountaineering and climbing but harder and more adventurous than hiking or trekking on a trail. Your guide will use a rope to protect you on the very upper part of the scramble to the summit.
