The 4 day Backcountry Avalanche Course is a comprehensive backcountry avalanche skills course. The 4 day Backcountry Avalanche Course is for recreational backcountry skiers and snow boarders. This course is the next step course is you have previously participated on an Avalanche Awareness Course or the Backcountry Travel Course. As part of the course you will receive the New Zealand Mountain Safety Council MSC Backcountry Avalanche Certificate and Avalanche Transceiver Certificate of Competency.

The Cass Valley Ski Tour is 5 day ski tour based from a private mountain hut in the Cass Valley area located east of the main divide of New Zealand’s Southern Alps.
There are many possibilities in this area from ski touring to ski mountaineering and a minimum of 5 days in this area is a great idea to make the most of the incredible terrain. The Cass Valley is a classic New Zealand ski touring destination and a must do.
